Chester Train Station
Built c.1848. 'Grade II Star' Listed. Originally designed by Francis Thompson in the Italianate style, and built by the railway contractor Thomas Brassey.
Ian Bright was commissioned as the Specialist Heritage Building Consultant to oversee the conservation, repair and restoration works to the interior and exterior. The works were completed using traditional detailing and construction methods including the repair and replacement where necessary of lath and plaster ceilings, using traditional lime plaster, stone indents etc.
